“The LORD answered Moses, "Walk on ahead of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Sinai. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." Exodus 17:5-6
In traditional Hebraic fashion, the title is multi-dimensional in meaning and reminds us of the living water of En-Gedi, the miracle at Mt. Sinai, and Jesus Christ, the ultimate source of living water. We hope that you will want to start every morning with a refreshing drink of "mayim chaim"! These articles will take the form of Hebraic / biblical image "nuggets" based on passages of scripture. We hope they will supply nourishment for your hot dry days so you can bear much fruit!
The articles will be organized and presented by themes such as Hebrew Words, Blessings, Culture of the Bible, People of the Bible, Biblical Festivals and so forth. Also, some of these devotionals will come from you, our readers, who will write about various passages of scripture and tell us what it has meant for you to understand the Bible in its land and time. For those who wish to submit articles for consideration, a list of guidelines is available by clicking on the [Help] button below.
We hope this project will be helpful in your walk as we all learn about and put into practice what it means to truly be disciples of Jesus!
